Shri Joydeep Choudhury

Shri Joydeep Choudhury is the Executive Director (Alternative Energy) at Indian Oil Corporation Limited, currently leading the organisation’s Alternative Energy portfolio. A Mechanical Engineering graduate from Regional Engineering College, Calicut, he joined Indian Oil in 1992 as a Trainee Engineer at Haldia Refinery and has since built over three decades of rich experience across refinery operations, maintenance, and large-scale project execution.

With two decades in refinery maintenance, including reliability and asset management, and over a decade in engineering and project leadership, he has been instrumental in delivering several landmark projects across Indian Oil’s refineries. Notable among these are the commissioning of Asia’s first 2G ethanol plant from paddy straw and the world’s first 3G ethanol plant from refinery gases at Panipat, along with major refinery expansions, petrochemical projects, and fuel quality upgradation initiatives. He has also led the establishment of Indian Oil’s first Green Hydrogen project, reinforcing the company’s transition towards sustainable energy.

In his current role, he is spearheading strategic initiatives in alternative energy, driving innovation and growth in line with India’s evolving energy landscape.

Shri Gagan Deep Singh Kohli

Shri Gagan Deep Singh Kohli is a Commerce Graduate and Cost and Management Accountant from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI). He is in the whole-time employment with Indian Oil Corporation limited since 1990 and is presently holding the position of Executive Director (Finance) in Business Development Group of Corporate Office of Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

He has rich experience of over 35 years in the fields of Financial Management, Banking, Product, Management Accounting and Business Finance. He was the team lead from Indian Oil to usher in SAP Payroll and Employee Self Services, an SAP based change platform which revolutionized the employee payments mechanism in the organization.

He has been involved in restructuring of the finance discipline of Marketing Division with a view to optimizing the manpower utilization. He has held important positions in various offices and has attended prestigious Senior Management Programs conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad and Kolkata. He was earlier on the Board of Indian Oil Mauritius Limited. He is also presently on the Board of IndianOil GPS Renewables Pvt Ltd, IndianOil Montney Ltd, Canada, Mercator Petroleum Limited, Terra Clean Ever Enviro Pvt Ltd and IEPOL, Oman.

Widely travelled and an avid reader, Mr. Kohli has a keen interest in value creation for the stakeholders through his contribution to the vital finance function.

Mr Deepak Agarwal

Mr Deepak Agarwal, an alumnus of IIT Roorkee and the Defense Services Staff College, is a former Civil Servant with deep roots in green energy space. As the head of ARYA, the project development arm at GPS Renewables, Deepak is passionate about turning ideas into impactful bio-CNG and sustainable waste management projects.

With years of experience across both government and private sectors, Deepak is on a mission to drive Net Zero and circularity in sustainability. His vision and expertise are key to helping GPS Renewables achieve the ambitious MISSION 1111 — delivering 1,111 TPD of CBG output by 2027.​

Mr Mainak Chakraborty

Mr Mainak Chakraborty is the CEO & Co-founder of GPS Renewables, a bio-energy company that is working towards accelerating the substitution of fossil fuel with biofuels.(Biogas, BioCNG, Ethanol and Green Hydrogen). Mainak has completed his MBA from IIM Bangalore and his engineering from NIT, Calicut.

He had been named as one of the top Indian innovators under the age of 35 by the MIT Technology Review. He is also an ex-Global Shaper, World Economic Forum. Mainak leads sales and business development for ULB (urban local body) and BOO (Build Own Operate) projects at GPS.
